Another year is over. And it is time to compile the best of the Music that was featured on AI over the last twelve months. My output last year was low due to myriad personal reasons. But starting this year that might change for the better – I am going to be joined by a co-writer soon for AI! But more about him later, in another post. So, as I was saying, due to my lower output I had a smaller pool to choose from this year. But I hope I could do justice and this compilation will appeal to some of us. All of us won’t be happy of course. To quote from last year, “Music tastes are as unique to an individual as fingerprints! So I do not expect anyone to completely agree with any best-of list compiled by some one else. So my apologies if you feel some deserving band got left out.”
In the beginning of the year, I had also promised the following as things to look forward to in 2011:
- MP3 albums as gifts for anyone who submits music for review or does a guest post for AI.
- More GIRs, Millennium. Also 13AD and Indian Ocean, amongst other international acts.
I have kept the first promise but I have miserably failed at the second one, except for GIRs. This year I promise to make good on some of last year’s promises as well as more posts generally, thanks to our new co-writer.
