The year is over! For some of us, it just came and went – a member of a long list of other such candidates. For some of us it probably was an year of great import, a milestone in our lives in some way or the other. I am not one for grand new year celebrations, or even resolutions for that matter. But I did make one this year – to come up with a best of 2010 compilation for AI at least before the first month of the new year is over! And guess what! I have managed to keep it! Colourblind

Colourblind

Colourblind was a duo (Ram Sampath on vocals, synths, drum programming and Siddharth Achrekar on Guitars) which surfaced in the 1990s in India, released one highly acclaimed album and got us teenagers then, all excited and was never heard of again. The reason being, I found out much later, Siddharth the guitarist, went deaf temporarily in one ear which forced them to abandon their future plans. Ram went on to write music for pop artists and ad jingles. Siddharth specialised in graphic design, visual effects and lighting. Their music was rock with a certain industrial edge to it.
