Triplexity – Between Light And Shadow

Triplexity, the name, comes from triplex and complexity. And this is a band which is completely “a virtual band consisting of 3 members who have never met each other face to face”! The story of this band is the story of three Jamendo users – SaReGaMa who lives in Israel, Nikila who is a Belgian in France and Hamelin who is also from France – who collaborate via the internet using all the tools that technology provides.

I love the subtext on their websiteVirtual Band with Actual Music – and the music is electronic as is to be expected for a collaboration of this kind. This is a genre that I have grown to like over the years, a bit grudgingly at first. But Triplexity’s music sat well with me right from the start – they have strong Jazz undertones wrapped within their nice Ambient, trippy feel. In fact, I learnt, that this genre is called NuJazz. But labels be damned – the music is good and that’s all we care about here!

Glad you like it… :) We tend to discover some great new music if we approach things with an open mind.
If you would like to find more of this kind of music please do check out Jamendo. Triplexity is featured there as well – check out their cover of Mongo Santamaria's jazz standard Afro Blue. You might like it… :)

I checked out both your MySpace and ReverbNation pages. I realized they were home recordings – they are rough around the edges. But I thought they sounded promising, especially Ablaze in the Dark and Pratidhwanee. I will wait for that album… :)
Keep doing what you do… Best wishes…
